19" LCD Vision Testing System DOMS POLASTAR

New developed achromatic Lambda foil optimizes the DOMS POLASTAR display for the reproduction of LCD optotypes.

So far, the principles applied for the reproduction of optotypes have been based
on a division of components according to the main polarizing  direction of the monitor.
Usually, there occur so-called ghosts at the LCD display with the so far applied
physical separation procedures. The term “Ghosts” refers to images which
are actually invisible for the eye. These “Ghosts” have their origin in fact that the
polarisation alone can not realise a sufficient separation of semi images for
the human eye.

DOMS POLASTAR uses the original of a semi image (45°), whereas the second
image is rotated by 90° by means of a new developed achromatic Lambda polymeric foil.

a.c.s. assist (absolutely computerized semi-image separation), ist patented by
doms eye-technology. With the a.c.s. assist it is possible to make those ghosts
invisible with a controllable additional method.

DOMS POLASTAR with 19” LCD Display has a high brightness of optotypes (>150 cd/m²), field-proven selection of optotypes and MKH -test sequence.
